4-H News

Paradise Paddock Pals is the largest group of equine 4-H members in Frederick County with 26 members. The program is for educational purposes in understanding total horse care. Members range from clovers, ages 5-8, to junior 4-H members, ages 8-13, and senior 4-H members, ages 14-18. Every meeting is planned by a member, or team of members, and is based on a planned topic and a craft.

Meetings are the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm at Paradise Stables.

Awards
The awards program encourages members to actively participate in meetings and try new activities and experiences. Listed below are things that can be done to accumulate point throughout the year. Members will be responsible for logging their points on the chart in the observation lounge at Paradise Stables (to be done at each meeting).

1 pt.- Attending a monthly meeting
1pt.- Planning a monthly meeting
1pt.-Serving as an officer
1pt.- Attending a club planned Activity
1pt.- Participating in County Practices (ex: Horse Judging, Horse Bowl)
1pt.- Competing in County Competition (ex: Horse Judging, Horse Bowls, Public Speaking)
1pt.- Attending Horse Shows
1pt.- Performance Testing
1pt.- Volunteer to help out at Paradise Stables

Bronze Medal 10-25 Points
Silver Medal 26-35 Points
Gold Medal 36+ Points
